Natural History of the Western Reserve
This website is expected to be operating by mid 2010.
This page is still being developed. When completed, it will describe the current and past flora and fauna, as well as geology of the Connecticut Western Reserve area. Topics will include the now nearly extinct American Chestnut tree which used to cover the area, and the now extinct Passenger Pigeons that used to fly in such enormous numbers that when passing overhead, millions of birds would darken the sky for hours in a flock over a mile wide and many miles long.
